Amateur whip, Christopher Marles is awaiting sentencing after being found guilty of assaulting a hunt monitor as she filmed the East Devon Hunt last March.

Helen Weeks, aged 50, was knocked into a ditch when Marles purposefully rode his horse into her.

Mr Marles has a previous conviction for ABH for which he received a suspended sentence after an incident in October 2006 where he punched a man filming the Devon and Somerset Stag Hounds. His victim received two black eyes and needed stitches to his wounds.

Marles has been removed as amateur whip by the Master of the East Devin Hunt.
